- Machine demonstration: We demonstrated the tornado milling machine and its processing efficiency to customers. Through practical operation demonstrations, customers can intuitively see the efficient performance of the machine in processing ball screws. This display method allows customers to have a deeper understanding of our products and increases their confidence in our products.
Product recommendation: Based on the customer’s product specifications, we recommend the CGK3000 model machine. This machine has the - following features:

3. Customer product requirements
The length of the ball screw required to be processed by the customer should be within the maximum machine processing length of 3000mm, and the diameter should be between 16 – 100mm. Specific product specifications may also include the following
Material requirements
The ball screw may be made of high-quality alloy steel and other materials, which have specific requirements for the hardness, strength and toughness of the material. The hardness of the material needs to be moderate, which can not only ensure good processing performance, but also ensure wear resistance and load-bearing capacity during use. For example, the material hardness may be between 30 – 50 HRC, which allows the tool to cut the material efficiently while avoiding excessive tool wear during the whirling process.
Accuracy requirements
Dimensional accuracy
The diameter tolerance may be controlled within ±0.05mm to ensure the matching accuracy of the ball screw and nut. For example, for a ball screw with a diameter of 50mm, the actual machined size should be between 49.95mm – 50.05mm.
Length tolerances may be within ±0.1mm, which is critical to ensuring the accuracy of installation of the ball screw in the device.
Shape accuracy
The straightness requirement is relatively high, and the straightness error may not exceed 0.02mm per meter of length. This is to ensure the stability of the ball screw during transmission and reduce energy loss and equipment vibration caused by poor straightness.
The roundness error may be controlled within ±0.02mm, ensuring that the cross-section of the ball screw is close to a perfect circle, which is conducive to the smooth rolling of the balls.
Surface quality requirements

The outer surface roughness of the ball screw may be required to reach Ra0.8 – Ra1.6μm. Such surface roughness can reduce the friction between the ball and the screw surface, improve transmission efficiency, and also enhance the surface wear resistance and extend the service life of the ball screw.

The surface is required to be free of cracks, blisters and other defects to ensure the strength and reliability of the ball screw. During the processing, the processing parameters need to be strictly controlled to avoid surface defects caused by improper processing.
